How to change the air filter of the Opel Vivaro by yourself

To replace the engine air filter on an Opel Vivaro, park on a flat surface, turn off the engine, and wait for the engine compartment to cool down. Open the hood and locate the air filter box (airbox), which is connected to the intake hose: it is a large plastic container near the air ducts. Unlock the fasteners of the airbox cover. Depending on the model, these may be screws or clips: use the appropriate insert or screwdriver and work gently, keeping the cover supported to avoid stressing the plastic. Once free, lift the cover just enough to access the filter element and pull out the old air filter. Before inserting the replacement, clean the inside of the airbox from dust and debris (without pushing dirt into the intake duct). Insert the new filter, ensuring it is positioned correctly, aligning the frame and the gasket along the entire perimeter: the filter should sit flat, without folds or raised points. Close the cover, checking that the fit is even on all sides, then reposition and tighten the fasteners evenly, without overtightening. Finally, check that the hoses and nearby connections have not been displaced, then close the hood.
