How to Replace the Timing Belt on the Opel Mokka

Today, you will see how to remove and replace the timing belt on the Opel Mokka produced from 2012 to 2019, independently. Pull the bonnet release lever and engage the handbrake. Block the rear wheels and remove the wheel nuts and caps. Fit the adapter for the wheel locking nuts, loosen the bolts, and place the jack under the vehicle. Lift the vehicle and remove the front right wheel. Loosen the fasteners and remove the right front wheel arch lining. Use a socket or spanner on the raised projection of the tensioner, rotate the tensioner against the spring tension, and hold it in this position to insert a suitable drill. Slide the drive belt off the pulleys and remove it from the engine. Rotate the pin back and position the new belt. Reposition the tensioner and spring, then refit the front right wheel and lower the vehicle.
