Learn how to solve starting issues with an Opel Corsa 1.2 petrol that has problems starting and hesitating during acceleration. The issue was with the pressure regulator in the tank (on the fuel pump unit) with a deteriorated O-ring, which no longer ensured a proper seal; consequently, the pressure in the fuel system dissipated during stops, and upon starting, the pump had to recreate the pressure, causing delays or failure to start. Replacing the O-ring (a part costing only a few pence) resolved the issue. You needed to relieve the pressure in the fuel system by removing the fuel pump relay and starting the engine until it stalled; ensure the fuel level in the tank was low. The fuel pump was located under the rear seat, which had to be removed to replace the O-ring. Reassemble everything, and you're done.
