The instructions in this guide will allow you to remove and replace the gear shift knob on the Opel Astra in simple steps. First, get inside the cabin and gently detach the gear gaiter by prying it from the sides; pull it upwards and detach any clip between the knob and the gaiter, pulling firmly on the knob to detach and remove it from the lever, as shown in the video. At this point, install the new gear knob, replacing the gaiter if necessary, and reassemble everything!
