How to Remove the Fuel Pump from an Opel Astra

How do you remove the fuel pump from an Opel Astra? First, disconnect the battery cables; lift the car on a column lift (if removing the tank). Remove the rear seat cushions of the vehicle. Use a socket spanner to unscrew the securing bolts of the metal cap (if present), and remove it from its seat (disconnect the power connector). Unscrew the large securing pin of the fuel pump, disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation hoses. Extract the floating fuel pump from its seat along with the attached parts. Refit a new part.
