On the Opel Corsa F, the diesel filter replacement is done safely under the vehicle, with the engine off and away from heat sources or open flames. Before opening the housing, prepare a container to collect any fuel that may spill during the operation and protect your hands with gloves, as diesel tends to spill and make a mess.

Once at the filter area, open the housing and remove the filter element, taking care not to damage any pipes or clips. Collect and dispose of the diesel from the filter body properly, then check the seat and replace the cover gasket if required, lubricating it slightly with clean fuel to ensure it seats without pinching.

At this point, insert the new filter, close the housing, and tighten without overdoing it. After reassembly, it is important to restore the fuel supply: on some versions, simply turn the ignition to 'ON' for several cycles to allow priming; on others, a specific vehicle procedure may be necessary.

Before driving, carefully check for any leaks around the filter area and connections.
