Code 89 on the Opel/Vauxhall display often indicates a problem with the coolant thermostat, not necessarily the oil. Diagnosis with an OBD tool confirmed code P0599 (high voltage heater thermostat). The solution is to replace the thermostat, located under the airbox.

To access it, remove the intake duct and the turbo pipe. Disconnect the electrical connectors and the coolant hoses.

The thermostat is secured with three bolts (8 mm spanner). Remove it and install the new one, ensuring the rubber gasket is properly positioned.

Tighten the bolts and reconnect the hoses. Top up the coolant and start the engine to check for leaks.

Clear the error code with the OBD scanner and test the operation. Code 89 is resolved.

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
