Removing the Float on Opel Astra

Is the float with the fuel pump fitted on your Opel Astra due for replacement? Let's see how to remove the fuel pump. Open the bonnet, disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seats from inside the car. Unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap (if present) using a socket wrench, remove it from its seat, and cover the perimeter with absorbent paper. Disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation tubes. Remove the pump with the fuel float from its housing, insert a new piece (connect the power connector), and screw in the screws. Test the operation of the pump.
