How to remove the alternator from an Opel Astra? Let's see how to disassemble it from inside the engine bay. Open and lift the front bonnet, remove the various covers, and remove the engine soundproofing panel. Start unscrewing the fastening pins of the alternator. Remove the right front wheel to access the alternator (if you have trouble disassembling it). Once the piece is removed from its housing, disconnect the belt from it. Install a new alternator inside the engine bay: connect the belt and the electrical terminals after securing it with screws. Reconnect the battery and test the battery charging.
