How to Install Cruise Control on Opel Astra H

To install cruise control on an Opel Astra H, first purchase the appropriate control to replace the original indicator stalk; then remove the old stalk and insert the new one. To detach the stalk, remove the rubber cover and insert a small flathead screwdriver at the base to push in the locking tab and release the stalk from its housing; then insert the stalk with the cruise control buttons and press it until it clicks into place. Next, configure the new device using the appropriate diagnostic tool, activating it first in the body computer by selecting the IPC ECU option. To enter the variant programming, you will need the CARPASS; at this point, the cruise control will change from not present to present; the same programming will be done for the CIM (also in the body) before moving on to engine management.
