Hood Strut Installation

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006
Part: Body

You can install a strut on the front hood that will slow down the descent during closing, preventing it from dropping and hitting. The kit also includes brackets. The upper brackets must be installed at the upper pivot point of the original hood hinge (if necessary, enlarge the washer hole) with the spherical joint facing outward; then attach the spherical-headed pins in place of the central mounting pin of the wings (it is suggested to use thread-locking compound). At this point, connect the struts to the spherical heads, ensuring they fit correctly and insert the respective retaining clip. Before fully closing the hood, check for any interference between the strut heads and the bodywork.

How to Replace the Window Regulator on the BMW X3

Replacing the window regulator mechanism requires removing the door panel and the aluminum underpanel to access the mechanism itself. Remove the motor and loosen the glass retaining clips to complete the removal of the window regulator. Attach the motor to the new mechanism and insert the assembled unit back into the door, securing it with the appropriate nuts. Then, insert the glass and tighten the clips, completing the installation by connecting the motor's power connector and performing a functionality check before reassembling all other components.
