Water Pump Replacement Instructions

Model: Vauxhall Corsa Corsa C - Years 2000-2006

First, it is recommended to carry out this maintenance with the engine cold; the pump is connected to the side of the engine block and to replace it, you must first remove the engine support (therefore, place a jack under the engine for support) and then the drive pulley of the pump itself, which is driven by the auxiliary belt that must be removed by loosening the relevant tensioner (to loosen the fixing bolts of the pulley, block its rotation using a screwdriver if necessary).
Then remove the hoses connected to the pump, disconnect the connectors of the relevant sensors, and proceed to unscrew the fixing bolts of the pump itself to the engine block. Remove the sensor from the old pump to apply it to the new one, which must be installed with a new gasket. Once the pump is securely fixed, apply gasket sealant to the flange of the thermostat housing and restore the coolant level.
