In this guide, you will learn how to replace the remote battery in an Opel Grandland X. To start, open the key mechanism by pressing the appropriate button. Once opened, pry in the slot where the key was housed and remove the plastic cover on the side of the remote opposite the buttons, under the Opel logo.

With a screwdriver, remove the old CR2032 battery and insert the new one, with the negative terminal facing down and the positive terminal facing you. Now, simply reposition the plastic cover and press it back into place.
