Replacing the glow plugs in an Opel Meriva is a straightforward task. First, open the bonnet and remove the plastic engine cover.

Locate the glow plugs, disconnect the power cables, and apply some penetrating spray. After a few minutes, begin unscrewing the glow plugs using an 8 mm socket, applying consistent and moderate force to avoid breaking them.

Finally, insert the replacements, start screwing them in by hand, and then use a torque wrench set to 10 Nm.
