To be able to thoroughly clean the throttle body, it must be removed: it is located on the front right side of the engine (when viewed from the front), just behind the oil filler cap. Therefore disconnect the sleeves, the elbow fitting and the fixing pins. Once the throttle body has been removed, use the special detergent spray to remove the encrustations and dirt residues present in the body; also clean the intake manifold, taking care not to let any residues end up inside the duct itself.This is the reason why it is not recommended to carry out those treatments with a spray can and without disassembling anything: the detachment of some encrustations could end up in the intake and damage the engine.
