Operation: How do I replace the oil filter on the Opel Astra J?

In order to replace the oil filter on the Opel Astra J you have to go and open the hood, so that you can have access to the components inside the engine compartment. The oil filter will be located on the right side of the engine block and can be removed from inside its housing by unscrewing it with a socket wrench. When the old oil filter has been removed it will then be possible to insert the new filter into its housing.
