To replace the oil filter on the Opel Astra J, open the bonnet to access the components in the engine bay. The oil filter is located on the right side of the engine block and can be removed from its housing by unscrewing it with a socket wrench. Once the old oil filter is removed, you can insert the new filter into its housing. It is important to drain all the used oil from the drain plug before proceeding with the filter replacement.
