Engine Management Unit Removal

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra G - Years 1998-2006

Removing the engine management unit is not straightforward due to its particularly unfavourable position: the unit is located beneath the left front wing, not in the engine bay (as is the case with most vehicles). To remove the unit, first, you must remove the wing itself. Once the wing is removed, disconnect the plugs from the unit's terminal block (the plugs are removed by opening the drawer locks) and then unscrew the fastening screws of the support plate, removing it along with the unit.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
