Vauxhall Astra - Video tutorial

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra K - Years 2015-2022
Part: Fuse box
Operation: Replacing the cigarette lighter fuse on an Opel Astra and location of fuse boxes

The interior fuse box of the Opel Astra K version is located behind the Center Console cover. To remove it, we will have to pull towards us decisively (but also with a certain delicacy) in order to expose the passenger compartment box, where the fuses that protect the cigarette lighter are kept. The fuses involved are no. #4 (if your car is from 2016/2018) or the n. #29 (if later). There is another fuse which protects the socket in the load compartment. This is located in the box located in the engine compartment, which is located at the front left of the engine compartment, just in front of the driver. In this case the fuse is #35. A further fuse box is also located in the load compartment, again on the left side of the car (i.e. behind the driver) in a compartment in the upholstery above the wheel arch.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
