In this video, we see how to replace the timing belt of an Opel Meriva 1.6 77 KW. As in all the videos in this series, we can see how to change the belt and give you an indication of the cost of the replacement part (a Continental CR1077 WP2 that can be found on E-bay for 139.70 euros: the price includes the belt, tensioner, and water pump), but we don't know how to remove it because the video shows how to operate on a sample engine. However, it can be interesting because it is very clear and clean. We need to bring the engine to top dead center; the two notches must coincide, as must those of the camshaft. Now you can remove the pulley and the lower belt of the timing wheel: the mark on the timing wheel and the triangle must coincide: you will know that the timing is still in place. We lock the camshafts with the appropriate tools, and the timing wheel in the gearbox, inserting it under the oil filter. We can now loosen the timing belt, inserting the 6mm hex key into the tensioner roller and turning it clockwise until we can insert the pin into the tensioner roller. We remove the belt. Now it's a matter of reassembling everything starting from the tensioner. First, however, we need to clean the threading in the engine block, then it will be time to fit the belt, starting from the crankshaft timing wheel and proceeding counterclockwise; the tensioner will be the last. There are two variations on this, which our YouTuber illustrates in detail. Now the locking tools must be removed, the belt must be turned twice, and the timing must be checked.

How to set the time on the Peugeot 308

If we need to change the time on this car we can follow the instructions given in this video tutorial and read the instructions below. First of all, access the driver's seat and turn on the ignition.
