How to replace the glow plugs in the Opel Astra 1.7 CDTI?

Model: Vauxhall Astra Astra J - Years 2009-2016
Part: Glow plugs

As we can see in this tutorial, replacing the glow plugs in the Opel Astra 1.7 CDTI is an extremely simple and quick operation. First of all, we open the hood, then we remove the plastic cover of the engine and locate the glow plugs: they are located in the rear area of the engine, right behind the injectors. Once we have done this, we disconnect the corresponding power cables, clean any dirt residue in the surrounding area, and unscrew the first glow plug with a long 12mm socket wrench. Finally, we insert the replacement and tighten it without applying excessive force. We repeat the operation for the remaining glow plugs.
