To ensure that clean air always circulates inside the Opel Astra cabin, the air filter system must be replaced periodically at the scheduled maintenance interval (more frequently if driving on dusty roads). To do this, the glove box must be removed by unscrewing the screws that hold the frame with a 7mm hex key. To access two of these screws, we must remove the side of the dashboard that hides them. In front of us, we will have the cover of the filter box that we can open by acting on the side tabs. We remove the old filter element and insert the new one, paying attention to the direction of the flow. We close the cover and reassemble the glove box.
