Replacing the Cabin Air Filter of the Opel Astra

To ensure that clean air circulates inside the cabin of the Opel Astra, the cabin filter must be replaced periodically, as per the maintenance schedule (more often if driving on dusty roads). To do this, remove the glove compartment by unscrewing the screws that secure the frame with a size 7 Allen key. To access two of these screws, we need to remove the side of the dashboard that hides them. In front of us will be the cover of the filter box, which we can open by acting on the side tabs; pull out the old filter element and insert the new one, paying attention to the direction of airflow. Close the cover and reassemble the glove compartment.
