Replacing the timing belt on the Opel Meriva is not an easy task, but it can certainly be done independently, especially if you follow our video guide. The first thing to do is open the bonnet and remove the intake hose and air filter. Next, lift the car with a jack and secure it. The second step is to remove the cover on the timing side. The third step is to start removing the pulley from the crankshaft by unscrewing the bolts, as shown in the video, and then remove the pulley. Loosen the belt and remove it. The final steps are to fit a new belt and reassemble the pulley.
