Where is the Camshaft Sensor Located in the Opel Astra?

In this video, you can see where the camshaft sensor is located in the Opel Astra and how to proceed if you need to replace it, a very simple and quick operation. As shown, the sensor is located on the left side of the engine, right near the corner of the plastic cover. To remove the sensor, first take off this cover, then unclip the indicated plastic clip, disconnect the power connector, and unscrew the single fixing bolt with a 10 mm spanner. To fit the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
