In this video, you can see where the camshaft sensor is located in the Opel Astra and how to proceed if you need to replace it, a very simple and quick operation. As shown, the sensor is located on the left side of the engine, right near the corner of the plastic cover.

To remove the sensor, first take off this cover, then unclip the indicated plastic clip, disconnect the power connector, and unscrew the single fixing bolt with a 10 mm spanner. To fit the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
