To remove the instrument cluster on the Opel Astra, turn the steering wheel from side to side to access the screws securing the cover at the top of the steering column. Once this cover is removed, you can also detach the panel around the instrument cluster to access the screws underneath.

At this point, you can slide the cluster out of its housing, disconnecting the connectors at the back and then replacing it with a new part.
