To remove the dashboard from an Opel Astra, first completely remove the steering wheel: loosen the two screws located at the back, remove the central airbag, and loosen the nut that secures the steering wheel to the column. You can then proceed to detach the trims around the instrument cluster and those in the central part of the dashboard; the central control panel can be removed by loosening the screws that secure it to its housing, disconnecting the connectors, and replacing any damaged parts with new spares.
