How to Replace the Gear and Handbrake Gaiter on an Opel Astra

Today, with the help of this short video, you will see the steps to replace the gear gaiter on an Opel Astra. Start by removing the old gaiter; to do this, insert a flat-head screwdriver into the plastic part of the gear lever to fully extract the gaiter. Next, remove the gear lever and the knob using the screwdriver to lever it off. Once disengaged, insert the gear lever into the new gaiter and then the knob. Finally, fit the gaiter back into its housing. To replace the handbrake gaiter, remove the outer part of the lower dashboard under the gear lever, then pull off the entire gaiter, disengaging it, and finally fit the new one as shown in the video.
