One of the tasks included in the maintenance service for the Peugeot 308 MK2 is replacing the air filter mounted on the intake circuit. To do this, open the bonnet of the engine bay, unclip the panel at the centre of the engine, and locate the filter box near the heat shield.

Using a Torx screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the cover, unclip the metal clip on the left side, and cut the plastic tie that secures the breather pipe. Remove the inlet pipe to take off the cover, replace the old filter with a new one, reattach the cover, insert the inlet pipe, secure the clip, tighten the screws, fasten the pipe with a new tie, and replace the protection.
