In this video we can hear from the voice of a professional, very important indications regarding the feared oil bath timing belts. On this type of belts, everything has been said and most of the comments have been negative: in reality, if maintenance is done regularly, with quality materials and above all not following the indications of the Manufacturers that indicate a mileage of 30,000 kilometers or two years: the service should be done at 15,000 kilometers or one year. If we use unsuitable oil or go too far in use, it happens that the belt crumbles, the pieces end up in the oil pump sump, where there is a net that acts as a filter that clogs, the engine light comes on and if not remedied immediately it ends up melting. The belt is checked from the oil filler cap, and you can see if it has cracks or if it is already dry. It is an operation that does not take more than 5/6 minutes and should be done at the time of the service.
