How to change engine oil and oil filter on the Peugeot 308 MK2

In this video, we will see how to change the engine oil and filter of a Peugeot 308 petrol MK2: we lift the car at its front using two jack stands for safety, remove the plastic protective base and find the oil drain bolt, which we will let drain into a collection container for the necessary time to completely drain it. The filter is mounted on a flange on the top of the engine, and to access it, it is best to remove the air duct with a 27 socket wrench to unscrew the flange counterclockwise. Remove the filter and clean the seat with brake cleaner. Lubricate the gasket of the new filter with some new oil, and screw the filter into the flange until you hear a "click", then tighten it to 25 Nm. Install a new bolt and a new gasket on the oil pan, tightening it to 25 Nm. Reattach the base, and the air duct at the top, lower the car, add new oil from the filler cap to 90% of the capacity, briefly start the engine and then check the oil level with the dipstick; top up until just below the max.
