Replacing Front Brake Pads on Peugeot 3008

Replacing the brake pads is a maintenance task you can easily do yourself. Start by loosening the wheel bolts on the front wheel slightly before lifting the vehicle. Once raised with a jack, complete the wheel removal and consider placing it under the vehicle's crossmember for safety in case the jack fails. Next, unscrew the bolts securing the caliper to its bracket and remove it. Use a suitable tool to retract the piston. At this point, remove the old pads and sliding shims. Install the new shims and pads, reattach the caliper and the wheel, and tighten the bolts after lowering the vehicle.
