Let's see where the OBD2 port is located on the 2013 Peugeot 508, specifically the MK1 model: It is found in the central console, on the left side for right-hand drive vehicles. It is positioned next to the gear lever, and therefore close to the cigarette lighter (or the ashtray compartment, depending on the trim). To easily locate it, we need to look in the floor area, between the driver's seat and the central console; we should look for a rectangular housing with a plastic cover, usually black in color. The port is a standard 16-pin connector for all modern cars. Through this port, we can connect to diagnostic tools to read and clear fault codes, mapping devices, or real-time parameter readers, as well as accessories like CPR locators or insurance adapters.
