The Cruise Control on the new Peugeot 208 is a system that allows you to automatically maintain the vehicle's speed at the value set by the driver. To activate the system, you need to turn on the instrument panel and lower the lever located behind the Cruise Control lever; once activated, the system will maintain the set speed, allowing the driver to relax their foot off the accelerator.

The speed can still be adjusted using the "+" and "-" buttons. Some Peugeot 208 models are equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control, which automatically adjusts the speed based on the distance from the vehicle ahead, helping to improve fuel efficiency by maintaining a constant speed and avoiding harsh accelerations and braking.

However, it is important to note that in uphill conditions, Cruise Control may increase fuel consumption as it will try to maintain the preset speed.
