To replace the engine oil and filter on a Peugeot 207, start the engine for a few minutes to make the oil more fluid, then turn off the vehicle and lift it safely. Position a container under the oil sump and unscrew the drain plug to let the used lubricant drain completely. Once the draining is complete, locate the oil filter on the engine and remove it with an appropriate spanner, being careful of any residual oil. Before installing the new filter, lubricate the seal with a bit of clean oil and screw it on until tight without forcing. Re-screw the sump plug, lower the vehicle, and pour in the new oil from the top filler neck, respecting the specified quantity. Start the engine for a few seconds, check for any leaks, and verify the oil level with the dipstick, topping up if necessary.
