How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Peugeot 206

To replace the timing belt on a Peugeot 206, first lift the vehicle and remove the front right wheel to access the engine bay from the timing belt side. Remove the inner wheel arch liner covering the timing belt area. Disconnect the battery and remove any engine covers that obstruct access. Unscrew the auxiliary pulleys if necessary. Align the reference marks on the crankshaft and camshaft, loosen the tensioner, and remove the worn belt. Install the new belt ensuring the teeth are correctly aligned and the timing marks coincide. Tighten the tensioner to specifications, manually rotate the engine to check alignment, reassemble the pulleys, covers, and wheel, then lower the car and reconnect the battery.
