How to Replace the Ignition Barrel of a Peugeot 206

This guide shows how to replace the ignition cylinder of a Peugeot 206. The first step is to detach the protective panel of the fuse box located in the cabin, under the steering wheel; remove the plastic panel under the steering wheel to expose the various wiring present. After disconnecting the electrical cable of the ignition barrel from the fuse box and disconnecting the other connector, you can unscrew the fixing screw of the key cylinder and, with the key in the first position, remove the piece from the housing. To remove the cylinder from the old ignition cable, you need to unscrew the two retaining screws and detach the metal block from the connector. Insert the terminal of the new connector into the head of the cylinder and insert the terminal part of it. Re-screw the two retaining screws and remount the piece in position. Reconnect the terminals and close all disassembled parts. Check the correct functioning of the ignition.
