Operation: How to replace the ignition lock of the Peugeot 206

The guide shows how to replace the Peugeot 206 starter cylinder. The first step is to remove the protective panel from the fuse box in the passenger compartment, under the steering wheel; remove the plastic panel under the steering wheel, in order to highlight the various wiring present. After disconnecting the electric cable of the ignition lock from the fuse box and disconnecting the other connector, it is possible to unscrew the fixing screw of the key cylinder and, with the key inserted in the first position, it is possible to remove the piece from the housing. To remove the cylinder from the old ignition cable it is necessary to unscrew the two retaining screws and remove the metal block from the connector. Insert the terminal of the new connector into the cylinder head and insert the terminal part of the same. Retighten the two retaining screws and reassemble the piece in position. Reconnect the terminals and close all the disassembled parts. Check the correct functioning of the ignition.
