Instructions for Removing the Driver's Airbag

Model: Peugeot 206 MK 1 - Years 1998-2012

Before proceeding with the removal of the driver's airbag, it is advisable to disconnect the battery to avoid triggering any warning lights. At this point, locate the holes behind the spokes of the steering wheel and, using a medium-sized flathead screwdriver, press on the retaining springs until the airbag releases; then pull it away from its housing and disconnect the detonator connectors and the horn contact. To reinstall it, reconnect the detonator connectors and the horn contact, pressing until the springs re-engage; finally, reconnect the battery.
