Repairing the Multifunction Display

Model: Peugeot 406 MK 1 - Years 1995-2005

The following video shows how to repair the multifunction display (MFD) of a Peugeot 406. It has malfunctioning lines on the screen. First, remove the entire radio unit: use a TX20 Torx screwdriver to unscrew the two screws behind the unit. Release the clips of the screen cover. Also free the two side clips and remove the casing. Lift and extract the remote sensor. Release the two side tabs and lift the screen. Remove the light diffuser located behind the LCD screen and the circuit board. Carefully detach each part from the plastic support. The LCD screen appears damaged at the edge. Use a heat gun on the display and press the tape with a pencil. Reassemble the unit as before.
