Operation: How to remove the airbag in the Peugeot 206

The procedure for removing the airbag in your Peugeot 206 is a very simple procedure. Before carrying out any other operation, it is essential to disconnect the negative pole of the car battery, for your safety. Once this is done, in the lower and rear part of the steering wheel (when it is in the straight position) there is a hole and through the use of a slotted screwdriver push the steel clip present so as to be able to detach the joint of the airbag. At this point we will have access to the connections of the airbag box with the steering wheel. Important: be careful not to pull, carefully check all connections and first disconnect the lock of the airbag control electrical connector (red cable). Then, using the screwdriver, disconnect the 2 yellow cable holders with white airbag fastening on the steering wheel and the gray cable holder with white cable fixed to the left side of the steering wheel. Once this is done, replace with a new airbag and reassemble everything. If, on the other hand, you want to eliminate it, remove the central fixing screw of the steering wheel with a torx wrench, extract the cables from the appropriate hole and when reassembling the steering wheel, check the correct position of the guide key located on the rear side of the same.
