Thermostat Replacement

Model: Peugeot 307 MK 1 - Years 2001-2009

To replace the thermostat, it is necessary to drain the cooling system; therefore, it is advisable to perform this maintenance with the engine cold. After placing a container under the engine bay to collect the fluid, disconnect the hose connected to the thermostat located just above the oil filter, near the other hoses of the cooling system. Then, unscrew the fastening pins of the thermostat, remove it from its seating, and insert the new thermostat, tightening the fastening pins and reconnecting the hose. Fill the cooling system with the appropriate fluid and start the engine, bringing it to operating temperature and checking the opening of the new thermostat; finally, restore the level.
