How to Replace the Front Brake Pads on a Peugeot 107

Learn how to easily replace the front brake pads on a Peugeot 107: start by unscrewing the cap of the brake fluid reservoir. Next, remove the front wheels and lift the vehicle. Do not rely too much on your jack. Get a proper axle stand and place the wheels under the car after removing them. Clean the brake caliper fastening elements using a wire brush and then WD-40. Use a crowbar to separate the brake pads. Then, unscrew the brake caliper attachment with a 13 mm spanner and remove it without disconnecting it from the brake hose. At this point, you can take out the brake pad and clean its support from dirt and dust, first with a wire brush and then with WD-40. Before positioning the new pads, apply anti-squeal paste to the surface where the brake pads contact the caliper. Press the brake caliper piston back. Use a brake caliper rewind tool. Refit the brake caliper and secure it with a torque wrench. Treat the surface where the disc contacts the wheel rim with copper grease, then clean the brake surface thoroughly. You can reattach the wheels and tighten the bolts. Job done.
