Replacing Rear Brake Shoes

Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands and remove the rear wheels, access the brake shoe adjuster through the designated hole on the drum to loosen it and slightly close the shoes to facilitate drum removal; continue by disconnecting the springs and removing the pins that act as pivots for the shoe opening to remove them by disconnecting the handbrake cable; thoroughly clean the brake shoe seating, and if you notice any oil residue, it is advisable to also replace the slave cylinder by removing the oil pipe and the mounting pins.

Then install the new slave cylinder, the new shoes by attaching the pins, the springs, and the adjuster, and the drum before adjusting the shoe opening: the drum should turn freely.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat.
