Operation: How to replace the head gasket of the Peugeot 307

In this video tutorial you can see how you can replace the Peugeot 307 1.4 petrol head gasket. Before changing the belt we put the timing pins. Pin 8 on CAM pulley; pin 6 on the engine flywheel. Use the 6 L-shaped Torx for flywheel locking. 8 pin to be inserted between the cam pulley and the head. Let us remember once the new belt has been reassembled to make four turns of the crankshaft and try the pins again. Once you are sure that everything is locked and stationary, continue loosening the timing belt tensioner, locking it with a tailor-made socket. We empty the cooling circuit and the oil one. Loosen the studs one step at a time starting from 10 to 1. Having removed all the studs with a rubber mallet, tap the cylinder head until it comes loose. Once the cylinder head and valves have been cleaned and the support surface prepared, we assemble the gasket on the monobloc.
