How to Replace the Cylinder Head Gasket on a Peugeot 307

In this video tutorial, you can see how to replace the cylinder head gasket on a Peugeot 307 1.4 petrol. Before changing the belt, insert the timing pins. Pin 8 on the camshaft pulley; pin 6 on the engine flywheel. Use a 6mm L-shaped Torx to lock the flywheel. Insert pin 8 between the camshaft pulley and the cylinder head. Once the new belt is fitted, turn the engine crankshaft four times and check the pins again. Once you are sure everything is locked and secure, proceed to loosen the timing belt tensioner, locking it with a suitable Allen key. Drain the cooling system and the oil. Loosen one bolt at a time, starting from 10 down to 1. After removing all the bolts, use a rubber mallet to tap on the cylinder head until it separates. Clean the cylinder head and valves, and prepare the mounting surface before fitting the gasket onto the block.
