Positioning of Fuel Level Gauge Needle

If the fuel level gauge needle does not indicate the correct position corresponding to the actual fuel level in the tank, for example, if the tank is low with the warning light on while the needle is much higher than the reserve, it is necessary to reposition it. Set the steering wheel adjustment all the way down, unclip the frame around the speedometer dial, and then the protective glass to access the dial panel and the needles. Pull the fuel level needle and reposition it lower; turn the ignition on and off a couple of times to check the correct position of the needle and reassemble the glass and frame.
