To do this we need a parrot, CA glue, a screwdriver and small pliers. After removing the instrument cluster from the car (to do this you can find one of our tutorials). We remove the lid from the instrument panel: we see that a pointer is not connected. We remove it, then pry with the screwdriver to separate the electronic part from the analog one. Leveraging very delicately, we remove the connector of the pointer that no longer worked. With even greater attention we open it in two, to see what part of the mechanism is not working. We see that the pin of one of the wheels has broken. We look for compatible metal wire, heat it to make a seat in the plastic lid, then glue it with CA glue. Now we put the eccentric wheels back on, put the gear cover back on and put it back in its place behind the instrument panel facia. We reassemble it on the electronic part. We position the hand that we had removed and which now turns regularly. Let's put the eyelid back in place. Now we can put everything back on the dashboard.

How do you open the fuel flap of the Volkswagen Golf 5?
