How to Repair the Speedometer of the Peugeot 206

Model: Peugeot 206 MK 1 - Years 1998-2012

For this operation, you need a pair of pliers, cyanoacrylate glue, a screwdriver, and a small pair of pliers. After removing the instrument cluster from the vehicle (you can find one of our tutorials for this). Remove the cover from the instrument cluster: you will see that one needle is not connected. Remove it, then use the screwdriver to pry apart the electronic part from the analogue part. Gently prying, disconnect the connector of the needle that was not working. With even more care, open it in two to see what is wrong with the mechanism. You will see that the pin of one of the wheels has broken. Find compatible wire, heat it to create a seat in the plastic cover, then glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. Now reassemble the eccentric wheels, reposition the gear cover, and refit it behind the instrument panel. Reassemble it onto the electronic part. Position the needle you removed, which now turns correctly. Replace the cover. Now you can reassemble everything onto the dashboard.
