Let's see how to change the battery on a Peugeot 207 HDI: to avoid losing the radio settings and other electronic equipment, you can use a backup battery, which can be connected to the diagnostic socket. The battery is in the engine bay, on the right side of the engine itself. Remove the cover that protects the battery. Disconnect the battery terminals, starting with the negative, and move the connectors away to avoid accidental contact while performing the operation. Then gently remove the control unit from its housing. Press the clips that allow you to remove the battery. Refit the new battery, inserting it into its clips. Refit the control unit. Reconnect the battery terminals, starting with the positive, and then replace the plastic cover. The job is complete.
