Replacing the Rear Brake Pads on a Peugeot 308

Here’s how to replace the rear brake pads on a Peugeot 308. Loosen the wheel nuts, lift the car, finish unscrewing the bolts, and then remove the wheel. Dismount the caliper by unscrewing the 13 mm bolts while holding the underlying 15 mm nuts in place. Once the caliper is free, support it in position with elastic cables, remove the old pads and the sliding shims. Using the appropriate tool, retract the brake caliper piston, and clean the surfaces with compressed air. Position the new sliding shims and install the new pads. Refit the brake caliper, ensuring the two clips are correctly positioned. Tighten the two screws using the new ones provided in the kit, reattach the wheel, and lower the car. Repeat the process on the other wheel.
