In this video tutorial, we can see how it is possible to replace the diesel filter in a Peugeot 5008 (II). The first thing to do is to purchase a new diesel filter from an authorized auto parts dealer. Place the new filter inside a basin containing diesel fuel, to allow the new filter to soak in the diesel. Lift the vehicle using a hydraulic jack and place safety stands. Remove the partition that covers the diesel filter; then, we need to disconnect the pipes, using a 19mm hex key, we need to unscrew the diesel filter holder (when unscrewing, diesel fuel will come out of the hole at a certain point). Once the filter is removed, we need to fill the filter holder with diesel fuel as much as possible, insert the two new gaskets: one on the new diesel filter and the other on the fixed part of the filter holder (grease the gaskets with a little oil). Once the filter is replaced, we need to fill it with diesel fuel using a syringe, to avoid putting stress on the system. As a final step, turn on the vehicle's ignition 5/6 times to start the pumps without starting the engine, (by doing this, the vehicle should start on the first try).
