How to Reset the Automatic Gearbox on the Peugeot 508?

To reset the automatic gearbox on the Peugeot 508, turn on the instrument cluster by turning the key in the ignition switch. Once the instrument cluster is on, grab the gear selector and pull it upwards to shift it. From the N position, move it first to R, then back to N, then to A, and finally to M; after this operation, reposition the selector to N and lower it again, noting that the automatic gearbox will have been reset to its default settings.
