Additionally, over time, the bodywork can flex slightly and compress the seals, which no longer hold as they should. The first step is to ensure the seals are clean, and you can apply some silicone spray to resolve this issue. If you find that the bottom is sealed but the top is protruding outward, lower the window and push it inward, as shown by the YouTuber. If you need to adjust the lock, you can do so with an empty water bottle, pushing the door to close it. If you need to replace the seal, simply pull it towards you, and it will come off entirely; to refit it, just push it back into place with your hand. Another common issue is the hinge located at the rear of the tailgate; if the screw starts to come out, it will allow water to enter the tailgate, but you can easily put it back in place.
