How do you replace the timing belt of the Peugeot 308?

In order to replace the timing belt of the Peugeot 308, you need to open the hood and access the inner part of the engine compartment: the side trim panel will need to be removed by loosening the screws. Then you can lift the front right wheel, so that it is removed from its seat along with the inner fender lining: the central nut of the tensioner pulley can be loosened here, reducing the tension of the belt and removing it. The new belt can then be inserted, tensioned and checked to ensure that everything is functioning properly.
